Kathmandu/Beijing, Nepal feels proud today as Two of our artists, Ishan Pariyar and Krishna Lama, got selected for the 10th Beijing International Art Biennale. It is happening at the Beijing Exhibition Center. The show started on December 29, 2025 and It will go on till February 1, 2026.
Ishan Pariyar
Renowned Nepali artist Ishan Pariyar showcased his painting titled “Coexistence,” which was officially selected for exhibition at the Biennale. The artwork reflects contemporary sociocultural themes and emphasizes harmony amid diversity, aligning with the global discourse central to the Biennale.
Krishna Lama
Alongside Pariyar, another Nepali artist, Krishna Lama, was also selected for the same international platform with his painting “Paradox of Origin.” Lama’s work explores conceptual and philosophical questions related to identity and existence, further demonstrating the depth and diversity of Nepali contemporary art.

This art show is run by the China Artists Association. It is one of the biggest in the world. Every two years, artists from over 100 countries come. They share ideas through paintings and sculptures. Nepal being part of it is a big win. It helps our country show its art to the world.

The Beijing International Art Biennale, organized by the China Artists Association, is widely regarded as a major global platform that brings together artists from across the world. Being featured in such a prestigious exhibition not only elevates individual artistic careers but also strengthens cultural exchange and artistic dialogue between nations.
The success of Ishan and Krishna serves as an inspiration for emerging artists in Nepal and reflects the country’s evolving contemporary art scene on the international stage.
