Kathmandu : The Government of Nepal, the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), and TikTok have jointly launched the ‘Visit Nepal’ campaign.
Launched on Friday, the campaign aims to showcase Nepal’s natural beauty, culture, heritage, and tourist destinations to a global audience. The campaign will run until the end of 2026.
Inaugurating the campaign, Minister for Information and Communications Dr. Bikram Timilsina said that digital platforms have emerged as an effective medium for promoting tourism.
Under the campaign, nine international travel content creators will visit various destinations across Nepal and share their experiences through social media platforms. They will be in Nepal from October 30 to November 7.
Similarly, a dedicated hashtag page will be launched on TikTok. The campaign will also feature collaborations with Nepali celebrities and local content creators, along with live streams from various tourist destinations.
TikTok representative Emir Galen said the campaign would not only promote Nepal’s tourism but also help connect local creators and small businesses with the digital economy.
