Kathmandu- Nepal has once again reaffirmed its position as a leading cultural and heritage destination by winning the prestigious “Heritage Destination of the Year” award at the India International Travel Mart (IITM) 2025, held from December 4 to 6 in Hyderabad, India. Renowned for its ancient monuments, rich traditions, and stunning landscapes, Nepal continues to captivate travelers from around the world, solidifying its status as the region's premier heritage destination. This year, the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), in partnership with 12 prominent private-sector travel and tour companies, showcased the country’s exceptional cultural diversity, spiritual heritage, and adventure tourism offerings at the three-day event. The IITM 2025 brought together more than 200 exhibitors from over 25 states and 10 countries, providing a key B2B platform for global tourism boards, travel operators, hospitality brands, airlines, and technology providers.

The session not only educated the students about Nepal’s unique attractions but also inspired them to explore the country in the future, fostering curiosity about heritage tourism from an early age.
